Textured Book Club: June 2024

Dear Reader,

Books and reading have become such an important part of my daily life and in so many ways their impact has truly been life changing for me. Part of the joy as a reader is discussing books with other readers. Whether it’s giving or receiving book recommendations, having a group discussion within a formalized book club, or simply engaging alongside a friend in a buddy read together. Whatever the format, discussing books with others can be so special.

With that said, I would like to invite you to my Textured Book Club where as a community we can get to the heart of stories together with intention for meaningful engagement along the way. It is a casual environment with a structure that embraces individual pacing over the course of a month while still allowing engagement with others along the way within comment threads assigned for each chapter within the book.

For the month of June I have selected the book ‘The Guest’ by Emma Cline. It is a book that has been on my tbr for awhile now and it just seems like a good candidate for discussion with others. Or at least I feel like I will want to talk to somebody while reading this book, lol. Kickoff will start on Monday, June 3rd and we will aim to wrap-up on June 30th.
