Mood Board Monday: What I Saw
A collection of images and good times with Billy Joel last night.
Dear Reader,
I hope your weekend was a lovely one. Did you happen to catch the Billy Joel Live Concert on CSB last night?? I did, which means I stayed up way passed my bedtime and am definitely dragging this morning. But it was so worth it! The show was great and he didn’t miss a single beat, key, or note! There was even a Led Zeppelin cover in the mix! And he played a brand new song. I didn’t even know he had a new song out. I linked the new song below so you can have a listen if you like. My friend and I chatted via text while watching the show with excitement each time he started a new song. We nearly lost it when Sting joined Billy on stage. Good times!
Ok so for today’s mood board I’m sharing a collection of images that have inspired me one way or another over the last week or so and why. I hope you enjoy.

MOOD BOARD HIGHLIGHTS
@_nitch - I love this image and the attached quote in its caption of the late Sylvia Plath from her “The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath” by Sylvia Plath.
“I may never be happy, but tonight I am content. Nothing more than an empty house, the warm hazy weariness from a day spent setting strawberry runners in the sun, a glass of cool sweet milk, and a shallow dish of blueberries bathed in cream. When one is so tired at the end of a day one must sleep, and at the next dawn there are more strawberry runners to set, and so one goes on living, near the earth. At times like this I’d call myself a fool to ask for more.”
While Sylvia Plath is primarily known for her struggles with depression expressed throughout her short life as well as in her writing, I can’t help think she is on to something in her references of contentment. That perhaps contentment is often underrated. Perhaps our moments of contentment can very well be the key or pathway to our happiness. Just a thought.
@ninasimone - I love the legendary Nina Simone’s music so much. Her lyrics and delivery always move me. And after I watched the documentary “What Happened, Miss Simone” several years ago I love her even more. She may have been a troubled soul, but she was also a powerful and brilliant soul.
@damselindior - An outfit and color combo I could wear almost everyday. This shirt, with these shorts or skirt, and these loafers... yes please.
@thegarment - Chunky bead necklaces and easy white summer cotton dresses. Perfection!
@vintagemoviestars - I’m very drawn to vintage fashion at the moment. And I think I have a book about Grace Kelly that I still need to read!...I wonder where I put it?
@lindatol_ - The hair tuck gets me every time!
@eyeswoon - I love glassware. Always have and probably always will. I need to invest in a couple of these beauties to add to my collection. And how cool is that image?!!
@fashionguitar - Reminder to myself: get a manicure. Do I want clear as originally planned or do I now want red? hmmm??
@eyeswoon - Look at those beautiful mood boards in that image!! Heavenly! The world of mood boarding always inspires me. I recently read an amazing article called “The Magic of Mood Boarding” by Diana Cohen from Take Your Time with Dianna Cohen and it was packed with tips and inspiration on mood boarding. Highly recommend giving it a read if mood boards excite you in anyway.
@oliwiapakosz - Lighting is everything!
@stylepines - Great effortlessly chic style and aesthetically pleasing image.
@creativeecho - Love this spring outfit and the layering pieces involved. The white trench is gorgeous...and very much out of my price range! I also love the name of this accounts handle. Clever!
@filis_pina - So good!!! The variety of textures and pieces all combined together works so well.
@christietyler - This blouse. Yes, ma’am!
