Dear Reader,
Are we in a race of some sort?
Why are we always rushing through everything?
What exactly is it we are all in such a hurry to get?
Why do we feel the need to be so busy all the time?
What is the reason behind the urge for a fast paced existence?
What happened to slow and steady?
Why is slow so frowned upon?
What are we gaining in life by breezing through it?
Why are we doing life this way?
What is so important over there that we must get to it so urgently?
Why are we always doing?
Why aren’t we ever being?
Isn’t life here?
Isn’t life now?
I’ve just been wondering. That’s all.
About 7 years ago I remember walking past this bicycle leaning up against the speed limit sign and thinking “wow - now that is definitely a lovely message and reminder to slow down and enjoy everything life has to offer in the here and now.”. I made sure to take a picture of it so that I would never forget.
And we should definitely stop to smell the flowers. Because they are pretty and they smell good and they are here, just for us.
Thank you so much for reading. May you have a blessed and fulfilled week as we welcome our new spring season.
Love,
